1. Find your coffee’s origin and story

Our bag labels feature a minimum of traceability and flavour profile information.

Our website shares the full story, transparency data, images and more for every different coffee (single origins and also blends). Each have their own dedicated info page:

  • A Sample Coffee bag with a focus on the front label.

A Sample Coffee single origin bag.

  • A simple .gif of showing a screen recording navigating one of our dedicated coffee pages.

A dedicated coffee info page for one of our single origins.

How to find each coffee’s dedicated info page:

  1. Scan the QR code on the bottom-right corner of each bag label (see demo).
  2. Search your origin or blend using our Find my coffee tool.
  3. If the blend/single origin is currently available for retail, you’ll find it on our coffee page.

2. Learn about your packaging

While flavour is our priority, we care about our environmental impact. That’s why we always seek a balance between quality performance and environmental footprint, seeking trusted certifications rather than passing trends.

Our coffee bean bags are:

  • Home compostable certified AS 5810-2010 by the Australian Bioplastics Association
  • Made from plant-based materials
  • Supplied by Ecobarista
  • Learn more about our choice and the ABA certification

How to dispose of your bag:

  • Coffee bag labels

    1. Tear off and recycle the front label (not compostable yet).

  • Coffee beans degassing valve

    2. Remove the rear valve (only on 400-500g and 1 kg bags) and put it in the general waste.

  • Coffee bag without the label, ready to compost

    3. Compost the remaining bag at home or via your council’s organics collection (if available).

  • Used coffee grounds

    4. Coffee grounds can go in your compost or food organics bin; otherwise, general waste is fine.

3. Brew the best Sample Coffee

We believe anyone can make delicious coffee with the right knowledge and tools. So we’ve spent some time building resources to help you make the most of our beans, tailored to our sourcing and roasting style.

4. Meet the people who roast your coffee
