What’s up BEYOND THE BAR these days? 🤔 What’s changed in Sydney’s coffee industry in the last few years? What’s still the same? How’s everyone feeling? Are we alright?

Let’s find out together next Friday 31st of March on BEYOND THE BAR: a panel and community meetup where we’ll chat and share ideas on this topic, but most importantly, we’ll have some good times together in real life. Like it used to be!?

To kickstart the evening, our very own Rowan Grover will go through these questions (and more) with piers Rowena Chansiri (Ickle Coffee Roasters & Cafe), Linda Jenny (Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters), Jimi Biasetto (Our Father Cafe) and Cindy Xiang (West End Espresso Cafe).

Then, there’ll be room for Q&A, mingling, chatting and hangouts with some coffee, nibbles, and refreshments generously supplied by B Corp sisters Heaps Normal and Capital Brewing.

Sign/Ad with artwork for the event outlining all the essential details, the same as presented in the text of this article.

To wrap it up, we’ll give away some fine stuff donated by local friends Magnolia Mountain, Ciccone & Sons and 9 Degrees Alexandria.

All this is happening next Friday 31st of March, from 6pm, at Old Gold Cafe in Chippendale/Gadigal Country (~10min walk from Redfern/Central).

Bookings are essential as our capacity is limited, so please head to this event’s Humanitix page or and catch your $5 ticket, passing all profits to OzHarvest and giving you access to all the beautiful stuff mentioned above.

Let’s bring back the momentum. Let’s get together. Let’s go beyond! 💥☕️

This event marks (and celebrates) B Corp Month, a global campaign amplifying and building awareness of how the B Corporation movement is transforming the economic system for the better. This March 2023, the theme is #wegobeyond, presenting the world with a community of impactful businesses that go beyond the harmful status quo and take action to transform the economic system.

Sample Coffee, Heaps Normal and Capital Brewing are certified B Corporations working in the hospitality industry.
