These flat, unfolded paper filters (Also known as “half-moon”) are designed for the CHEMEX Classic – 3 cup brewer.

To put them to use, you just need some origami-like skills to get the cone ready!

Unfolded design: it comes in a flat-sheet format, no papery taste

How to fold

First, fold the filter in half.
Then fold the small half-circle tab inwards.
Fold the filter in half again.
Open the cone with your fingers so that 3 leaves of the filter are on one side. Place that side against the spout when putting the filter into the carafe. This is so that there is more stability of the filter towards the spout to help prevent vacuum sealing.
You are now ready to place your coffee grounds in the filter and begin brewing.
