Coffee varietals: Pache varietal

Quality: Good

Yield: Moderate

Disease resistance: Susceptible

Pache is a natural mutation of Typica, originally discovered in Guatemala in farms of El Brito, Santa Cruz Naranjo and Santa Rosa.

This varietal shows some resistance to local soil diseases but, unfortunately, highly susceptible to leaf rust and coffee berry disease. Tends to be a high quality coffee, that grows well at high altitudes
