We’re trialling international shipping

G'day mates in πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡»πŸ‡³, we’re now trialling international shipping to New Zealand, Vietnam, Canada, the UK and the US (beans only)!

.

Every year we get a handful of emails asking whether we ship overseas. Those generally come from customers who have moved and miss a taste of Sample. Or from coffee geeks who want to discover what our team creates from our little corner here in St Peters.

We always had to reply with a sad face saying we were not set up for it. We had all the logistics and systems, but we never considered seriously opening to the ‘outside’ world. Shipping overseas felt too risky and expensive, perhaps unnecessary and questionable (hard truth for those who do business down under). Or we felt too small for it (also, classic Aussie complex?).

Our minds started to change when we recently got some coffee bags from international roasters; we wanted to treat ourselves and explore what others were doing outside of our bubble. It was a very cool and mind-opening experience, making us revisit the international shipping question. If they could do it, why couldn’t we?

So we’re giving it a go.

We’re trialling coffee bean shipments to New Zealand, Vietnam, Canada, the UK and the USβ€”countries we’ve had some experience shipping to in the past. If it goes well, we’ll grow the list.

We’re honestly not expecting these orders to be our bread and butterβ€”most sensible coffee people would get their usual supplies from their favourite local roaster. We’re just super excited to be able to share our coffee with those who want a treat on special occasions.

If you’ve got friends and family in those countries who may be keen, please share the news. Or if you’re based in some other country and would be keen to drink some Sample Coffee, please say g'day via socials or email.

From little things…
