Ever Gamboa, a dedicated man from the department of Nariño, specifically the municipality of San Lorenzo, spent many years working as an “andariego.” He traveled from farm to farm throughout the region, picking coffee and performing agricultural tasks to support himself. Over these years, he gained a deep understanding of various coffee cultivation and harvesting techniques.
Six years ago, with the help of his brother, Ever took a significant step and established his own farm, which he named “Los Robles.” Initially, he planted traditional coffee varieties, but he soon recognized that specialty varieties offered better opportunities for quality and profitability. He began planting special varieties such as Gesha, Bourbon Papayo, and Pink Bourbon.
Now, Ever’s goal is to shift away from traditional coffees and focus exclusively on specialty varieties. He is committed to improving his cultivation and production processes to enhance the quality of his coffee. Additionally, he is transitioning towards organic coffee, an effort supported by friends and the knowledge he has acquired over the years.
Ever dreams of making “Los Robles” a benchmark for specialty and organic coffee, demonstrating that with dedication and effort, significant changes can be achieved, ultimately improving the quality of life for his family and community.
